HONJO FENDERS

Jitensha Studio imports and is a big fan of Honjo fenders. They are beautiful, sturdy, yet lightweight. They are expensive but worth every penny. We feel they are the only fender appropriate for a top quality bicycle.

Honjo fenders need to fit the wheel and tire size closely to look right. As a result they come in a range of circumferences and widths. They also come in two finishes: smooth (with fluting in some models) and hammered.

Hammered finish fenders are available in two widths for 700c tires.

We now have a narrow fender that looks great on slimmer tire sizes. We also have a 4 mm fender stay and 4 mm hardware (the stay and mounting posts are normally 5 mm) for lighter weight applications such as this.
Also new: alternative sets of mounting hardware that allow solutions for many more bikes.
Unlike less expensive fenders which attach to the frame with a tab that is either folded up out of the fender material or riveted on, Honjo fenders are through-bolted directly to the frame. They will not break or rattle. Where necessary, however, we have several adapters so that they can be mounted on frames that don't have integral mounts.
The bolt-through attachment is not only more secure, but also allows more tire clearance.
To use the stock hardware, you will need 10 mm of clearance between the right rear stay eyelet and the small freewheel cog.
