A long-time friend had Hiroshi design this elegant lightweight bike for him many years ago. It is fitted with many highly sought after vintage parts in nearly new condition: Stronglight 49D cranks, T.A. pedals, JOS lighting, Simplex rrear and Huret Jubilee front derailleurs, Simplex seatpin and Ideal saddle, and Superbe Pro brakes. It also has a Toei fillet brazed stem and rack. Frame size is 49 cm. 650C tubular wheels.

Hiroshi is going through some development to sort out the small details. This is the first bag and is pretty much a stock example of the G-W bags.

Handmade in the shop of Shoichi Watanabe in Tokyo, these beautiful traditional style handlebar bags are constructed with heavy duty water repelent Japanese cotton canvas with vegetable dyed leather edging and attachments. The workmanship is superb—on par with anything else available.

Note that the side pockets are flush with the sides to improve aerodynamics. The top map pocket can be snapped off if you aren't using it. It can also be rotated around so it sits over the stem behind the rest of the bag making it easier to read the map.

Canvas duck is inherently waterproof. When wet, the fibers expand so that water cannot penetrate the bag; contents will remain dry without need for a coating. Leather trim is natural and will darken with use.
